Tribute to Razor Red!!!
Mood:  party time!

I am SUPER EXCITED to be able to talk about Razor's Rise To Power! =)

Razor is now the redbone breed #1 Historical Reproducing Sire IN THE NATION!!  Two weekends ago, he "tied" the notorious GRNTCH Hoffmeister's Rusty Red when Abe finished his NTCH title.  That put Razor at 25 NTCH's - the same as Rusty Red- however, Razor has less pups on the ground giving him a better percent and sending him to the #1 spot.  THIS weekend, Zoe pushed him over Rusty Red in percentage AND numbers.  Zoe is Razor's 26th NTCH!!  We are so proud of Razor and we knew that his legacy would live on!!

UKC's historical list encompasses hunting titles only.  I actually find this a little insulting because I know how hard our show dogs, as well as the water and field dogs work to get their titles as well but since the redbone is a working breed, I do understand it.  If they DID consider ALL titles-- Razor would've been #1 LONG ago.  I just got a new offspring report on Razor & to date he has:

4 Grand Nite Champions

22 Nite Champions

1 Conformation Champion

34 Grand Show Champions

40 Show Champions

4 Grand Water Champions

2 Grand Field Champions

2 Field Champions

Talk about an impressive resume!!  This dog will always be the backbone of Tree Rizin' because - as clearly seen above-- he reproduces in ALL VENUES!!!  We couldn't be more proud of the mark he has left on the breed and will continue to stamp on the breed by way of frozen semen, his puppies, and his grand puppies!!!

We have had a LOT of exciting competition news since the last blog but I won't clutter Razor's post with other news except to say that Tree Rizin' will be welcoming Razor son, Rush and Razor daughter, Crook to the kennel in the next few days.  We're looking forward to adding them to the legacy.
